新しくするってなんだろう。表面上のリタッチ？全体のイメージをガラッと変えること？われわれは表面の図としてのデザインを変えることよりも、見えない部分の川上からコアに携わることを大切にしています。制約の中でデザインを考えることは一見不自由そうで、実は考え方に柔軟性を持たせてくれます。可能性を消去法的に削っていき「仕方がないからこれでいこう」と半ば投げやりになるより「これさえ守っていれば何をやっても良いからこの制約の中で最大限遊ぶには？」といったアプローチの方が圧倒的に楽しく、可能性を広げてくれます。
RENEWAL
What does it mean to make something new? Retouching the surface? Drastically changing the overall image? Apart from changing the surface of the design, we are interested in being involved all the way from top to core of the design. Renewing design within given rules and restrictions may seem limited at first, but it gives us flexibility in return. Instead of throwing away our devotion and going with the easiest option, we want to be free, playful and do the best we can within the given frame. This kind of approach is simply more fun and can also expand the potential of design.
